BRAND POSITIONING , CREATIVE DIRECTION & Styling

Kris Myllenbeck is the founder and CEO of Mylle, the brand that changed the inflatable pool industry. Prior to Mylle, Kris was a Seattle consultant who worked for brands like Microsoft, Nordstrom, Nike, and Starbucks. Her work has been featured in Dwell Magazine, Architectural Digest, LA Times, NY Mag and more.

MYLLE

Mylle changed the inflatable pool industry by creating a minimalist pool design in iconic packaging that made the once corny backyard kid toy a must-have for city-dwelling millennials. Year after year, Architectural Digest, Dwell, Elle Decor and other leading outlets have ranked Mylle as the top brand in the space. In 2024, Mylle launched two more innovative categories for the high-style, low square footage set - garnering praise from design leaders like DesignMilk & Dwell, noting Mylle’s ability to create game-changing products people never knew they needed, and now can’t live without.

Hot Seat won Domino’s 2024 Good Design Award, indicating that Mylle is just getting started disrupting categories.

Styling

Kris cut her teeth as a stylist for Nordstrom’s campaigns & catalogs - leveraging her business school background to better partner with buyers - making the case for future-thinking creative that makes sense for the bottom line. While a stylist with a business background was unusual, it was the perfect recipe for an effective career in commercial creative, and she soon applied her knowledge to other categories - consulting in Seattle & LA for Nike, Microsoft, Starbucks, and more.
